CRM push & verification

When you finish an interview, SalesCollab Sales Companion can write the results straight into SalesCollab Pulse CRM or the webhook CRM your team has configured. This page explains what happens and what each status means.

What happens when you push

  1. Company: A company record is created (or matched) using the interviewee's organisation name.
  2. Contact: A contact is created or updated with the person's name, email, phone and job title.
  3. Deal: A new deal is opened in the sales pipeline so the opportunity can be tracked.
  4. Note / activity: A note is logged against the contact with the interview outcome, summary, next action and any rep notes.

The interview record is then marked as pushed and the date is stored, so you can see exactly when the handover happened.

SalesCollab Pulse status

When SalesCollab Pulse is connected, the app reads each created record back from Pulse to confirm it exists. This is the verification checklist you see on the interview page.

Verified end to end — all four records were found in Pulse.
Verified
One or more records not found — the push succeeded but Pulse could not confirm the object on read-back. Tap Verify CRM records to retry.
Failed
Not connected — no PULSE_API_KEY is configured. Ask your admin to add one in settings.
Pending

Your own webhook CRM

If your team uses a different CRM, your admin can configure a webhook URL. SalesCollab sends the interview data as a JSON POST and reports whether the webhook accepted it.

Delivered — your CRM returned a successful HTTP response and accepted the payload.
Verified
Webhook failed — your CRM returned an error or did not respond. Check the webhook URL and token in your integration settings.
Failed
Not configured — no webhook URL is set. Your CRM will not receive interview data until one is added.
Pending

Because external webhooks do not have a standard read-back API, verification only confirms delivery, not whether individual records were created inside your CRM.

What to do if a push fails

  • Check that the interview has a contact name and a valid outcome selected.
  • Confirm your admin has configured either a SalesCollab Pulse API key or a webhook URL.
  • Tap Push to CRM again — the app will retry the full handover.
  • If a record was created but not verified, tap Verify CRM records to re-run the read-back check.
